Brett Cullen in "Crooked Lane"

Currently, Brett Cullen films the movie "Crooked Lane", a paranormal thriller set in New Hampshire and based on a true story passed down over two hundred years, generation to generation..
Joining Cullen is Ann Cusack ("Six Feet Under") as Ava.
The movie is scheduled for 2010.

Here are some pictures taken on the set while filming:

If you're interested in all details of the filming process, there's an official Movie Blog and a Facebook Group.

On July 11, seacostonline published an article about filming the movie in Portsmouth:

Thumbs up to the cast and crew making a movie this week in Portsmouth.

It was lights, camera, action at the entrance to Commercial Alley on Monday for "Crooked Lane," a movie being shot by Left Bank Films in Portsmouth and Barrington.

The movie was written and directed by Left Bank's Chase Bailey, a Portsmouth resident. He has worked with Johnny Depp and John Malkovich.

In addition to stars Ann Cusack and Brett Cullen, there were also 22 extras on hand, including Steve Scott of Portsmouth, who has no intention of pursuing acting.

"I've done this a couple of times," he said. "Why not? It's fun. It's fun to be a part of ...; to watch it. And when it's in your own back yard, you have to take advantage of it." Sounds just about right.

Jeff Kober: New Projects

Jeff Kober (Guy Stafford, Falcon Crest Season 6), has just finished filming his second episode of "Sons of Anarchy". Unfortunately, there's no air date available yet.

In 2010, Jeff Kober will work on the movie "Native Land" which will be filmed in Los Angeles and the Democratic Republic Of Congo. We'll keep you updated on that.

Jeff has also filmed a new movie entitled "Mending Fences" with Laura Leighton ("Melrose Place") and Angie Dickinson. He plays the role of Jack Norris Jr.
The movie is about television reporter Kelley Faraday who moves back to her hometown with her teenage daughter Kamilla (Shanley Caswell, "Zoey 101"). Believing she has escaped from the urban flurry, Kelly returns home to find the town in the middle of a heated land crisis.

Kelly, her mother Ruth Hanson (Dickinson) and her ex-boyfriend Walt (David Lee Smith, "CSI: Miami") work in unison to halt casino developments which pose a threat to the town's water supply.
The water rights battle and the ensuing struggle with defiant citizens serve as a backdrop for the core storyline centering around Kelley's personal re-discovery of her small town roots.

The movie will be aired on Saturday, July 18th on The Hallmark Channel. The Channel had to perform a little schedule mending by pushing back the movie's premier from the intended airdate of July 4.

Motorcycles by Lorenzo Lamas

According to his website, Lorenzo Lamas has joined forces with master motorcycle designer, Ralph Randolph, to form Lorenzo Cycles.
The international motorcycle lifestyle brand will include custom motorcycles, parts, apparel, jewelry and fragrance. Lorenzo will unveil 4 signature motorcycle designs at this year's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (August 2 - 7, 2009).

Note from Lorenzo: Since building my first chopper back in '79, I've wanted to put my stamp on custom motorcycle designs. The rubber has finally met the road with Lorenzo Lamas Cycles. While filming all over the country for my show "Renegade", I rapped with a lot of folks from all walks of life. Everyone loves the spirit of the open road and embraces individuality. My motorcycle company will embody this ideal. We will combine unique but timeless designs with a 'wild west vibe' and the reliability and workmanship that only my partner, master builder Ralph Randolph, can deliver. I've waited a long time for this perfect storm of creative forces to come together and I've seen a lot of styles and fads come and go. What's here to stay is “build quality” and timeless design and I'm stoked to be able to share that with all of you on our rides and at our events. Till then, keep the shiny side up!”

Giving to charity has always been important to me. I've supported many diverse and credible ones throughout the years. This year, at Sturgis, I am stoked that the attention my motorcycle company is attracting will raise money for an important cause. I have chosen Make-A-Wish Foundation as the charity that will receive 100% of the profits from the sale of my Sturgis Rally T-Shirts. Since 1980, Make-A-Wish Foundation has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. To donate, please contact the charity at :
www.wish.org. I'll see you all at Sturgis and keep the shiny side up!

"Thirtysomething" DVD Release

Great news for fans of Ken Olin (Christopher from Falcon Crest's season 5): His TV Show "Thirtysomething" comes to DVD on August 25, 2009.
The First Season Box Set is filled with Bonus Material and the episodes are restored from the original film print.
After being fired from Falcon Crest, Ken Olin landed the role of Michael Steadman on "Thirtysomething".

Product Description from amazon.com:
In 1987 we were introduced to a group of couples, of friends: 'thirtysomethings.' A dream cast of characters that from the very first episode resonated with a nation of people who knew these people all too well. Michael (Ken Olin, Brothers And Sisters) and Hope Steadman (Mel Harris), the suburban 'new-parent' poster children; Elliot (Timothy Busfield, The West Wing) and Nancy Weston (Patricia Wettig, Brothers And Sisters), a couple whose marriage is falling apart; Gary Shepard (Peter Horton, In Treatment), the perpetually 'twentysomething' thirtysomething; Melissa Steadman (Melanie Mayron), Michaels cousin and a struggling artist; and Ellyn Warren (Polly Draper), the driven but restless career-chaser.

thirtysomething channeled the consciousness of baby boomers into a running commentary on what it really meant to be on the cusp of success and failure, marriage and divorce, adulthood and parenthood. Every week the show blurred the lines between television and film, drama and comedy, hard reality and twisted imagination. Each episode of this truly groundbreaking series was its own unit yet somehow fed a larger, growing experience from week to week.

At last, the experience comes to DVD with 21 original episodes restored from the original film elements. Go behind the making of this landmark television series with all-new interviews, commentaries and conversations with the creators, cast and crew.

Bonus Features:

Featurettes With thirtysomething Creators, Cast and Crew

* From thirtysomething to Forever Making thirtysomething

* A Conversation Between Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick

* Couples & Friends

* Cultural Impact

* Commentaries by Creators, Cast and Crew

Mariska Hargitay's latest On-Set Fall

Yesterday, Mariska Hargitay fell on her first day back to the New York City set of Law & Order: SVU.

According to RadarOnline.com she's already back on the horse, however.

Sources told the website yesterday that Hargitay was injured on location at NYU, filming scenes with new cast member Wentworth Miller, when a scratch found her in the nearby University medical center for examination.

A spokesperson for Hargitay tells the actress did experience a minor fall, but no injury was suffered and she's already back on-set.

Hargitay just renewed her contract for another season of the Dick Wolf hit, where she stars alongside actor Chris Meloni.

Leslie Caron on Stage

The Paris production of A Little Night Music starring Leslie Caron (78) will have a five-night run at Theatre du Chatelet, February 15-20, 2010. Lee Blakeley will direct.

Caron (as Madame Armfeld) will be playing alongside Kristin Scott Thomas and Lambert Wilson in Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s 1973 musical.

Although final details have not been announced, A Little Night Music is expected to open on Broadway this fall in a transfer of the Menier Chocolate Factory’s hit London production starring Hannah Waddingham as Desiree.

Mariska Hargitay opens up about lung injury

For the first time since she injured herself on the set of Law and Order: SVU last October, Mariska Hargitay is opening up about what happened: She was doing her own stunts that day, as usual, when she landed in a way that began a microscopic bleed in her lung tissue. Mariska was eventually admitted to the hospital in January, where an X-ray showed that her right lung was 50 percent collapsed.

“I began to panic,” she tells Redbook in their August issue. “I was so scared.”

After a medical procedure was performed to prevent a more serious surgery, Mariska was assured she was okay, but then, she says, “on March 5, it happened again. I was one out of 1,000, statistically.”

The experience made Mariska look closely at the value of her life and what was at stake.

“I had so much to lose, so much to live for,” she says. “I have so many blessings, and I’ve learned from all of my experiences and my losses.”

Carla Gugino unhappy with Hollywood's treatment of aging actresses

Carla Gugino (37) has admitted that she doesn't like the way aging actresses are treated in Hollywood.

It is bizarre, certainly in Hollywood, when you hit 23 [and] people start to ask you, 'How does it feel to get older?' the New York Post quoted her as telling Moves magazine.

It is absolutely surreal because, as a woman, when you hit your 30s it's just the beginning of owning yourself and being in your own body, she added.

Gugino said that one of her friends was told by a dermatologist, Your face is very expressive-let me know if you want me to do something about that. I mean, wait a minute-isn't an expressive face a good thing?

Shauna Sand cheated on Lorenzo with A.J.?

I really don't know if this is true but the Star Magazine reports that Shauna Sand cheated on her former husband Lorenzo Lamas with his son A.J. when they were married.

A source told Star that the reason the couple split when they did was because Lorenzo found out Shauna “was sleeping with A.J. Lamas, his then-18-year-old son!”
The source dished: “Shauna came on to A.J. It was the ultimate betrayal. Lorenzo had no idea; he was in the dark about the whole thing. He thought Shauna was acting like a mom to A.J. He had no clue that she was his son’s lover!”

The source also added that the affair went on for months before Lorenzo filed for divorce from the former Playboy model.
